If ever there was doubt that it was a long, cold winter, six pairs of hand knit socks in need of serious repairs should be proof enough. Darning. How horrifying.

This looks to be an extremely difficult task. Obviously to you it seems easy now but, to make a sock to fit correctly and have the right shape looks to be very difficult.
